After AR Rahman’s CWG 2010 Theme Song its time for ICC World Cup 2011 Theme Song. The ICC World Cup Theme Song “De Ghuma Ke” is become quite popular. The song “De Ghuma Ke” is composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The song is titled ‘De Ghuma Ke’ which in itself is a passionate expression.
The World Cup is starting Feb 19 to April 2nd and India is co-hosting the event along with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The song will be performed at the opening ceremony in Bangladesh.
Lyricist Manoj Yadav has peppered ‘De Ghuma Ke’ with commonly used Hindi terms like, ‘aare paare’ (this way or that), ‘guthi gutham’ (fisticuffs), ‘juta hausla badla faisla’ (buck up and change the game) and ‘jiyo khiladi wah re wah re’.
De Ghuma Ke’ will be composed in 3 different languages namely Hindi, Bangla and Sinhalese that will feature in the build-up to and during the tournament in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
